Making Moments Magical: Paper Fairy Wings

In my life as a parent, I have laundry and house cleaning. I have toilets to scrub, bills to pay, and diapers to change. But, as a mother, I also have the opportunity to make moments magical for my children. So today, when my birthday-girl asked me to make her a fairy, I had the chance to deliver on that opportunity. How could I not? It is her birthday!
Idea:
We made Fairy Wings out of paper and string. This magical moment literally took me 25 minutes, not including bed-jumping time. Since it was very fly-by in nature, I'm not posting a "How To" but rather an idea for you that you can change or improve to work best for you. We used Art Paper (because that's what I had available) but poster-board would work quite well too.

Have fun, and magical moments for your children!

Great idea. I was really good at thinking of boy things like this (shields, knight costumes, rocket ships), but alas he is older and now I get to think about little girl projects.

I love the little birthday fairy looking outside the window....so adorable.

What an awesome idea. I don't have sweet little girls so capes and masks are my forte.
